Tami is 'an artist'.
Her pallet is The Pear Tree.
Your home, your office, (maybe your car) - your environment is where you express yourself. We believe that each of us have our personal creativity - though admittedly sometimes it can be hidden. You are invited to visit us, look around, get ideas, get creative and hopefully you can find something in The Pear Tree to take home to your special place.

Above are the whimsical clock creations by David Shearer.
Being creative and using some small round mirrors Marilyn made fish bubbles on the wall.
Yes, there is a lot to see... but don't miss the 'drunken lizard lamps' climbing the wall.
Have fun!
Summer 2011 - Flash
Tami and John have returned from a major buying adventure. Everything is an adventure. Coming by the fall (and just in time for holidays) a series of new reasonably priced, fully framed, art prints. Photos to be posted soon.
Lighting made from mangos? (You knew there was a reason you love Tami's unique lighting.)
Summer on the east coast of Florida is time to enjoy fresh mangos for breakfast and dessert.
A central Florida artist, Anna, working with craftspeople in the Phillipines, create many of the unique lighting available at The Pear Tree. The hand-selected leaves are picked and dried, the leaf is dyed with organic, non-corrosive dye to create the desired color. Only the leaves that remain fully intact are used on the lamps. In short, the mango leafs are dried, often colored, glued to a plastic backing and hand-stitched to the frame
Imagine using natural palm barks, pelee nuts and the leafs of mango and cocoa plants to create a unique light source? A lamp if you will.
The larger 'mango' leaf lamp is roughly 6 ft. long. It can be wall mounted or attached to a ceiling - in all cases a striking accessory for your home. These are NOT always available. The frame is hand-forged metal. Anna's husband travels to their facility in the Phillipines to watch over the construction of each of her designs. Their son, a student at Rollins College in Winter Park, often serves as 'delivery' boy bringing these lamps to The Pear Tree.
Also shown two 'paintings' that are not paintings. Printed on a composite Aluminum, what begun as a commercial sign process transformed into WeatherPrints. The look of a canvas painting, these are 'WeatherPrints" and you can place them inside or outside. We have ours on the back pool deck. Simply wash lightly with soap and water.
Throughout The Pear Tree you will find various type of vases (example hanging to lower right). Sometimes we fill with bamboo and live plants, but mostly Tami displays faux flowers and foliages. It's really hard to kill a plastic plant :) Whichever you chose, we offer a wide selection of vase designs to fit most every style.
