About 12 years ago Lolita started painting martini glasses - funny designs with a recipe on the base.  We had a lot of fun with these.  Each was unique.  If you can find an original glass Lolita herself painted, they are expensive and collectible.   About 6 years ago, as more and more of her friends wanted a glass, she connected with some painters in China.  Lolita would design and paint one glass, send it to China, and by hand many artists would re-paint her designs.  Tami brought these unique gifts to The Pear Tree and many of our friends have received these gifts.

Congratulations to Lolita - she has become so successful the big department stores now sell her designs. Martinis, Wine Glasses, Beer glasses and more.

FRANZ Update  Summer 2011

Tami met with folks from Franz in Atlanta to preview the newest designs.  (Her back to photo) Sarah, Mr. Chen's personal assistant, is travelling for 3 months around the United States speaking with store owners, like Tami.  Also in photo (on left) VP of Sales for Franz in the United States, Joe and center our local Sales Rep (and friend, Doug). 

What an experience John & Tami recently enjoyed.  Local Florida artist, Carl, with his studio in New Smyrna Beach demonstrated his talents blowing and forming undersea creations from glass.  Carl melts silver dollars into the blue glass, he uses 23Kt gold to gain the sparkle in the jellyfish and he mounts his glasswork on cocina rock found around the beach.  Photos below of Carl working and some of his art now available at The Pear Tree.
